More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s. It is estimated 10% to 15% of individuals with MCI go on to develop Alzheimer’s/dementia each year. While there are treatments to help address its symptoms, there are currently no treatments that stop or reverse the progressive loss of memory.
In addition to medication research, ongoing studies are testing the impact of using light and sound on Alzheimer’s symptoms.
